Reaching a height of 100cm this tall strong stemmed plant has densely filled spherical purple flower heads that seem to hover above the stems and will add an airiness to any sunny border.

They can be used to great effect when combined with shorter and taller grasses and is used widely in landscape gardening. Verbena Bonariensis 'Buenos Aires' is also a magnet to pollinating insects and bees.

Flowers June – October. Height 100cm. Full sun preferred with some partial shade.

Top Tip

For all year round impact, deadhead in autumn but leave the tall stalks to dance in the wind through the winter, then cut the stalks down in spring when new growth emerges from the base.
